We’re interested in starting small groups. Where do we start?

There are a lot of different small group models out there, and one size does not fit all. Each church has a unique context, its leaders bring individual gifts, its community has specific needs, and the Lord has a clear vision that fits them best.

There are many excellent articles available on this site to help pastors and church leaders learn more about starting small groups. These article subjects include: history, advantages, types, and transitioning to small groups.

The Assemblies of God also has a network of model churches in every region of the country for the purpose of giving interested pastors and church leaders opportunity to visit, study, and be involved in effective Small Group ministries already established with a history of good success. These models have been chosen prayerfully and carefully to provide the finest training in order for pastors and leaders to establish effective Small Group ministries in their own churches.
