Sunday Night Connections
OUR MISSION:
The pastoral staff and leadership of First Assembly of God are committed, through our Connection Small Group Ministry, to assist and encourage people to develop and deepen their relationship to God, family, church and world.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Obey God’s Word and grow in application of that Word through Bible discussion, where everyone is invited to ask questions and give input related to passages of Scripture, Sunday’s sermon, and/or how to experientially live out the life of Christ in a practical way.
OUR VISION:
In order to develop deeper relationships we encourage our groups to stay connected to:
- God – Realizing and strengthening that relationship through salvation, water baptism, Holy Spirit baptism, personal prayer & Bible reading.
- Family – Recognizing marriage and the family unit as being ordained by God we are committed to help in building strong marriages, families, singles & future families.
- Church – Using Connections small group ministry as a means of supporting and strengthening the local church as a whole. Assisting in discovering and use of spiritual gifts, development of lay leadership and encouragement to become active, reproducing disciples of Christ.
- World – Encouraging and equipping small group members to impact their neighborhood, city, state, nation and world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mobilizing groups to reach out to the unchurched, always having an “open door” policy to anyone who might want to attend a group, and become involved in church wide and community ministry projects.
