LIFE Groups: The Bethel Temple CONNECTION

LIFE GROUP DEFINED: A LIFE Group is a small group that meets at least monthly for the purpose of building friendships, growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and equipping for the work of the ministry.

SMALL GROUP DEFINED: A group ranging from 2 to 15 people

  1. Connection Groups
  2. Equipping Groups

CONNECTION GROUPS DEFINED: A LIFE Group that meets at least monthly for the purpose of building friendships, growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and equipping for the work of the ministry.

EQUIPPING GROUPS DEFINED: A LIFE Group that meets at least monthly for the purpose of building friendships, growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and equipping for the work of the ministry (including evangelism, connection, discipleship, and sending).

FOUR LIFE GROUP TYPES PER CATEGORY

  1. Home Groups
  2. Affinity Groups
  3. Ministry Groups
  4. Classes

HOME GROUPS DEFINED: Small groups focused on providing an atmosphere for building friendships, prayer, and encouragement.

AFFINITY GROUPS DEFINED: Small groups built around a common interest such as participating in a particular sport, hobby, or meeting a specific need (e.g., Recovery for the City).

MINISTRY GROUPS DEFINED: Small groups built around a common ministry interest such as choir, ushers, media ministry, prison ministry, street ministry, or urban outreach.

CLASSES DEFINED: Small groups designed to equip and train people for personal growth and work in the ministry.
