Joel Cornelius - Small Groups Pastor
The small group ministry at Central Assembly of God has been in existence since 2001. The groups were originally launched as part of the 40 Days of Purpose campaign. Since 2005 we have sought to further educate ourselves and move our small groups forward toward becoming the primary discipleship and connection modes of the church. We currently follow the model from the Willow Creek church, but we continue to seek to adjust what we do to "fit" with the needs of our church.
Our goal is to see the overall church body connected to a small group, experiencing life, accountability, support, and spiritual growth. We realize this does not happen by accident, and we are working to build on the existing foundation of small groups. At Central Assembly of God we fully believe in the theology of small groups andtheir need and potential to provide an environment where all of our people are receiving pastoral care.
