Mike Conaway, Minister of Maturity
Thank you so much for your interest in the small group ministry of Pinellas Community Church. At PCC, we believe that as the church grows larger it must grower smaller at the same time. Our weekend services are large group celebrations where we encourage people to invite their family and friends. Our small groups are where discipleship takes place. Small groups provide people the opportunity to connect with one another. Small groups are a place where people can know and be known and love and be loved. Small groups also provide a place for spiritual growth through practical application of biblical principles. In addition, small groups are a place where people can begin to serve one another, the church, and the community through servant evangelism projects and serving weekly, monthly, or quarterly on a weekend ministry team. We place a high value on small groups and the major role they play in the spiritual development of every believer.
There are three ways to get connected to a small group at PCC:
1. Through natural relationships – If an individual already knows someone who attends a small group, we encourage them to attend that small group because they already have a connection. Attending small groups together can help that relationship go deeper.
2. Through our semester system – This provides a natural on-ramp and off-ramp to small groups. Our semesters beginin February, May, and September. Sign-ups for each semester take place in January, April, and August. Signing up is simple; there are just four easy steps:
- Fill out a feedback card.
- Select the group of interest from a brochure inside the bulletin.
- Write the number of the group in the top right hand corner of the feedback card.
- Place the in the offering bag or in the metal box (on the way out of the auditorium).
It is that easy! A small group leader will contact the individual the week before the small group begins to confirm they will be there.
3. Through leading a small group – Every small group leader is required to be a member of PCC and is required to take the small group leader’s training and go through the interview process.
