Commission on Discipleship

Sunday School – We are proposing new and exciting applications to Sunday School, a ministry which continues to be the most popular forum for a systematic study"A Bible-based curriculum with a majority of time spent in the actual study and/or discussion of God’s Word." of God’s Word in the church. This approach will normally take place on Sunday mornings (in the church facilities), quite often before the morning service. It can, however, be held on other nights of the week.

Bible Study Groups – Bible study groups are usually held outside the church building, often in someone’s home and on a different day of the week than Sunday. These groups may vary in size and focus. Although discussion, fellowship, and prayer remain a part of the Bible Study Group, a majority of time will still be spent in the actual study and discussion of the biblical topic.

Discipleship Ideas – The Discipleship Ideas website for Sunday School and small group ministries is a tool for teachers, pastors, or anyone interested in discipleship! Find age-specific articles and training PowerPoints, as well as helpful teacher tips and tools and contemporary ideas to improve the quality of your discipleship ministries. Check out the latest Discipleship Ideas magazine or browse around the website for other help and resources.

The answer to all the challenges facing the church today is a Spirit-filled laity who is not ashamed of the gospel and loves the Lord 24/7. The Commission on Discipleship is committed to putting dynamic and relevant resources into the hands of every church leader. This website is the portal to all of the Assemblies of God resources for discipleship.

Discipleship Forum

The AG discipleship forum is an avenue for pastors and church leaders to engage in online discussions and partner with one another to strengthen discipleship efforts across our Fellowship. Pastors and churches with success in various discipleship ministries are able to extend their ministry as they share their experiences and advice with others in need of discipleship help. Whether you have advice, questions, or both, you will want to become an active participant on the discipleship forum.
